The commission on election reform met today to discuss on gender equality. During the meeting, the Socialist lawmaker Damian Gjinkuri said that recommendations on gender representation must be met. The national representative of women, Majlinda Bufi said that a number of recommendations have been presented in concrete terms. “One in three must have a gender representation. If the criterion is not met, there be penalties. The penalty will be the disqualification of the candidate list”, Bufi said.
